A dear friend of mine has post COVID syndrome and her body and energy are unreliable. She can’t work, she can’t do much at all but rest on her couch or in bed. When she goes for a walk, she needs someone to hold on to.
She doesn’t have a partner, so she can feel lonely at times.
It’s so very inspiring to see how kindness helps her. Not only kindness from others (for example, she hates to cook and I brought her a few portions of home cooked meal; an easy thing for me, and huge for her), but especially kindness to herself and her body.
It may be unreliable but she’s managing. And so she keeps reminding herself that she needs self care more than ever. Also when she gets inside her head too much and start to feel depressed or angry or whatever feelings come up when you’re alone and sick. Those are the moments she needs self care most, and it’s inspiring to see how she keeps learning to accept and embrace her situation and her body. Kindness!
I'm so sorry to hear that your friend is going through this, but glad to hear she has people like you thinking of her. I find I have a better time of life when I don't focus so much on my own perceived "problems" and think instead about other people--the prelude to kindness.
Not sure about the journaling , though I do it personally nothing in any other format. Just able to comment occasionally. My plate is fuller than I thought. My knitting coincides with the 100 day project but will take considerably longer. Summertime and gardens may slow this down considerably . I am enjoying Yoga Mind as a reading & break . My yoga attempted daily is a constant joy , but a farm /animals set priorities without consideration , going with the flow , no teeth nashing anymore LOL😉🧘♂️
I have not yet journaled about my body but I have certainly been thinking about loving my 84-year-old body. In spite of Health issues (pacemaker, titanium knees, type 1 diabetes, kidney and thyroid issues), I am truly blessed to be able to be as active as I am and enjoying life. It's good to be aware of it.
I first met you through morning medknitations at a virtual knitting conference - TKGA, I think. You have been an important part of my life ever since. Thank you.

Amen to no teeth gnashing!
😂
I've read both your books Suzan and I think I bought them when I stumbled upon you before Covid at Vogue knitting and I was hooked.
Than you, as you get me through my ups and downs, as well as my knitting does.
I read both "Cherries in Winter" then "Yoga Mind". No way to select both.
I also found you through Virtual Vogue Knitting Live.
Virtual VKL NYC 2021. I attended medKnitation.
I found you through Sketchbook Sokol and your Comics class
Found you through Sketchbook Skool. Time for catching up on my "I want to..." list, including Yoga Mind, has been elusive.

I've known you (and been in awe of you) for my entire life!

I knew you in a VKL at NYC and then in all of the VKL on line events.
