A Peek Behind the Scenes
Plus: If you missed the workshop, here’s your chance
Please click the little heart to say hi!
Hello friends, and welcome to all the new friends who’ve just joined us—over 200 this month!
Thanks to everyone who came to the medKNITation workshop with Modern Daily Knitting yesterday. Almost 700 people signed up to learn a simpler, more accessible, and enjoyable way to meditate.
We talked about the mind-body benefits of meditation, and how knitting parallels them, and I led a variation on breathing meditation that made it easier for some who’d found it challenging before. (One participant’s Apple Watch said her heart rate went down by 10 points! Maybe even more impressive, another person said I put her wild puppy to sleep 😹) We touched on how meditative practices help you deal with difficult situations and people in a peaceful way. Then, I took people through the steps that turn knitting into a meditation, and we agreed: medKNITation is a superpower that helps you find your peace and share it with others.
I tell you this not to make anyone feel bad if they couldn’t attend the live event, but to let you know that you can still catch it! Modern Daily Knitting is still giving access to the recording, and the medKNITation ebook comes with your ticket. Just click the button below to get your ebook and workshop replay.
If you were at the live event, while you were watching me, this is what was happening behind the scenes—Sherman and Norman were having their daily sun nap 😈🐱💕 Events can look so professional and neat on the screen, but behind it, there are cats, cups of water and matcha, lipstick and lipgloss for quick touch-ups, and more 😹 Didn’t want you to think I have it all together!
A few notes for our new friends: If you’d like guided audio meditations, you can find them on my website here. If you want to send a copy of the medKNITation book to a friend, you can get a copy here. And please make sure you’re subscribed to this newsletter; I have some good things to share with you soon, and I don’t want you to miss out.

Hello! I thoroughly enjoyed the Medknitation workshop! I’m usually a very fast knitter and slowing down made all the difference. My only question is do you suggest always having complete silence or could you have soft music in the background? Thanks again. In peace.
This was timely for me as well. Work has been fairly stressful. Thank you for the tools to break the stress cycle.
