A long weekend + live session link
Add some relaxing meditation and a new knit/crochet-along to your holiday weekend
Hello friends!
Here in the U.S., this is a long holiday weekend—Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer. People go away on vacations, head to the theaters to see blockbusters that look better on the big screen (with a big bucket of popcorn), and have barbecues. What are you doing on this long weekend? Here are some of the things I’m thinking about:
Our Emotional Support Chicken Knit/Crochet-along: The results from our poll are in, and 79 percent of you voted to join in this hen party! Should we begin this weekend? (If you missed the links to the pattern and kit, they’re here, and not affiliate links.)
Gardening: This is traditionally the weekend I go get flowers, herbs, and a tomato plant for our deck and plant them all. I can’t wait to get my hands in that rich soil, and to have some fresh tomatoes!
UFO sightings: As I mentioned earlier this week, I have a bunch of unfinished knitting objects that I wanted to turn into finished objects…and I completed two of them! I’ll keep going, though I really want to start that chicken.
Reading a new book: I found Your Tarot Guide: Learn to Navigate Life with the Help of the Cards by Melinda Lee Holm and immediately fell in love with the illustrations by Rohan Daniel Eason. It’s like a beautiful picture book for Tarot fans! I’m so looking forward to diving into this divine book.
TV time: Honestly, every night at our place means TV time, but the long weekend means maybe we’ll stay up a little bit later to watch some movies and shows. We’re on the home stretch of Dune 2, which has taken three nights to view (it’s almost three hours long). We may return to Disney+ for some new Dr. Who. Any other recommendations? What are your plans for the long weekend?
Meeting up with you! We have a live Yoga Mind/medKNITation session on Saturday, May 25 from 9:15 am ET to 10:15 am ET. (Not sure what time that is in your area? Use this handy time converter.) During this session, we’ll talk about how the most recent Yoga Mind tools are working in our lives, and then we’ll do a meditation with knitting or crochet (or any type of stitching you like!). Live sessions are for subscribers at the paid level, so click below to sign up for just $5 a month, or get two months free with the annual option. Once you’re at the paid subscriber level, you’ll have access to the link to the live session, below the subscription button.
The link to this Saturday’s live session is below. Have a great long weekend, and I’ll see you Saturday!
